Established in 2014, the Miss Greater Salt Lake Scholarship Organization is a 501(c)3 dedicated to giving women the opportunity to achieve their personal, professional, and educational goals through service in the community. And, as a local affiliate to the Miss America Organization, we prepare young women to compete for additional scholarship monies at the state level through the Miss Utah’s Teen Scholarship Competitions and at the national level through the Miss America Teen Competition.
At Miss Greater Salt Lake’s Teen scholarship organization, we are dedicated to fostering leadership, sisterhood, and essential life skills through community service and education. Our mission is to empower young women to realize their full potential, make a positive impact in their communities, and build a supportive network that lasts a lifetime.
– JennyLynn Meek, Teen Executive Director
The Miss Greater Salt Lake’s Teen Scholarship program, a sister initiative to the Miss America Organization, champions the core values of leadership, community, and sisterhood. By fostering a supportive environment, the program emphasizes the importance of education and community service, preparing young women for success in all aspects of life. Through mentoring and opportunities for personal growth, participants develop leadership skills, a commitment to service, and a strong network of sisterhood, empowering them to excel academically, professionally, and personally.
Why consider participating in the Miss GSL Teen scholarship competition? Our history, built on a strong network of passionate advocates speaks for itself. With four Miss Utahs and, in our first year securing a Miss Utah’s Teen title and having represented over 135 community service initiatives, our participants receive the individual attention and preparation needed to compete at the state and national levels.
